the multitude of names for Op Shopping (Opportunity Shopping); Thrift Store shopping, 2nd hand goods etc. most 2nd hand stores or Salvation Army stores dont have much good stuf.
TODAY I MADE THE MOST SATIFYING BUYS OF MY LIFE.(JANET U SHLD B JEALOUS)
I went t the neighbourhood Salvo's and got
1. brown pouch bag sling thing - genuine leather $3.75 worn( but makes its soft!)
2. cream mini briefcase style with gold accents on top handle, clasp and sling hook. dont kno if its leather, mayb pleather, - $4.75 near new condition
3. picnic basket, woven rattan, retangular briefcase shape - comes with cups, plates and cutlery - $3.14 cant tell its age, but a few sticks of rattan stick out.
4. plain leather belt - $2.75 good condition.
i spent $14.60 for ALL of that. totally awesome. i am a convert. its very nice vintage but at the same time, none of that ridiculous pricing many singaporean shops have.
then i went t the shopping mall, got eyeliner, shirt dress, scarf. all on mid-season sale prices. omgggg...so totally awesome...spent so little and got so much.
i still cant bring myself to buy 2nd hand clothes tho..sticking t my accessories. alma, my hsemate is really experience with this tho, haha she patiently sifted through racks of clothing and then picked out 3 jackets, gloves and a belt. all for $38. and one of the jackets was true vintage, shoulder pads and all, and pure silk. haha i kinda remembered my mom wearing that stuf.
p.s. janet, i saw lepord print, skulls and rose, polka dota gumboots. i wasnt sure of ur foot size and all..sorry..
